Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager with a strong background in global distribution channels and experience managing portals that enable brands to reach clients across the globe. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding our gift card distribution network, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. This position requires deep industry knowledge, a strong network of global distribution contacts, and expertise in portal management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research to identify potential opportunities and trends in global gift card distribution. Analyze market data, competitor activities, and customer needs to shape strategic business decisions.
- Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with global distributors, resellers, and key stakeholders. Negotiate and secure strategic partnerships to expand the company’s distribution network.
- Distribution Channel Development: Identify and develop new distribution channels for gift cards, both on B2B and B2C scales. Lead initiatives to introduce our solutions to new markets and customer segments worldwide.
- Portal Management: Oversee the management and optimization of relevant portals and platforms that facilitate the distribution of gift cards. Ensure that these portals are user-friendly, secure, and capable of supporting global transactions.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to global markets. Work closely with the sales team to implement business development plans that align with revenue targets.
- Product Offering and Customization: Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that our gift card products meet the needs of various markets. Provide feedback on customization requirements for different regions.
- Client and Reseller Management: Manage relationships with existing clients and resellers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products within the global network.
- Reporting and Analytics: Monitor and report on business development activities, providing insights and updates to senior management. Use data-driven analysis to refine strategies and achieve growth objectives.
- Industry Networking: Represent the company at global industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Build and maintain a strong international network within the gift card industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Extensive experience in business development, sales, or account management withinthe gift card industry or a related sector.
- Strong understanding of global distribution channels and a proven ability to manage relevant portals or platforms.
- Established network of contacts within the gift card distribution industry, including distributors, resellers, and key decision-makers.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results- oriented approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
