Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Venue/Events Manager to oversee the operations and management of our venues in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction. This role involves working closely with internal teams and external partners to create memorable experiences that align with Gossip Doha’s brand and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event Planning and Management:
    • Develop and implement event strategies for the venue, including nightlife events, private functions, and corporate gatherings.
    • Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, from initial concept to final delivery.
  2. Venue Operations:
    • Manage daily operations of the venue, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards.
    • Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all equipment and facilities are in place and functioning.
  3. Client and Vendor Relations:
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, sponsors, and partners.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and service providers.
  4. Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage event and operational budgets, ensuring all activities are cost-effective and within budget.
    • Monitor expenses and financial performance, providing regular reports to management.
  5. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and manage a team of event coordinators, venue staff, and support personnel.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
  6. Marketing and Promotion:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and the venue through various channels.
    • Develop innovative promotional strategies to attract new clientele and enhance brand visibility.
  7. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure all events and venue operations comply with local laws, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Implement and maintain health and safety protocols for staff and guests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event management or venue operations, preferably in the hospitality or nightlife industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven track record of successful event planning and execution.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the Dubai market and industry trends is a plus.
